Pekin Hardwood was founded in 1935. Over the years this family run business has grown from its humble beginnings as a sawmill into a leader in the hardwood industry. Today the company has the distribution center and manufacturing center known as Pekin Hardwood, a finishing operation, hardwood flooring installation operation and five retail locations represented by Millworks stores and Woodworkers Shops.

Pekin Hardwood is Central Illinois’ leader in the manufacture and distribution of hardwood products with over 200,000 square feet of flooring in stock and 500,000 feet of lumber on hand. The on-site manufacturing operation allows the company to produce custom millwork for customers and the prefinishing operation allows us to offer that product ready-to-install.
